Reformo Design & Construction is undertaking a comprehensive renovation project for Astiak Construction Home, including two full bathroom remodels, vinyl flooring installation, and a series of lower-level upgrades.
The main bathroom renovation includes complete demolition, new bathtub installation, crown molding, waterproofed tiling, updated plumbing, toilet installation, vanity reconnection, and premium painting. The lower-level bathroom will be expanded and fully remodeled, featuring a new shower base with glass, waterproofed tiling, vanity installation, updated plumbing, pot lighting, painting, and a custom niche. Additional work includes installing 800 sq. ft. of vinyl flooring in the lower-level corridor and rooms, new baseboards, shoe moldings, drywall installation, insulation, painting, and demolition of existing wall panels in a fireplace room.
A major structural task involved removing a structural beam from the basement room and carrying out precise repairs to ensure both safety and functionality of the new layout.
Project Challenges
One of the most technically demanding stages of the project involved cutting and excavating through the existing basement concrete slab to install an underground drain and new plumbing lines. This required careful planning due to the building’s existing layout and structural considerations, ensuring that no load-bearing elements were compromised. Working within tight basement spaces and navigating around existing mechanical systems made the process particularly challenging, but our skilled team completed it safely and to code. Reformo remains committed to delivering high-quality craftsmanship, adapting to unforeseen site conditions, and ensuring smooth, timely project completion while upholding the highest safety and quality standards.
